Surfing on a Rocket
When I was young, some kind of spot the difference riddle published in newspapers was very popular. The riddle would consist of two pictures, showing a nearly identical scene. The task of the reader was to find all differences between the two images. It could be a missing flower in the background, a man’s mustage replaced with a beard, or a different pattern on the blouse of a woman.
Since I am a nostalgic, sentimental old geezer, I’d like to expose you to such a small riddle.
Without further ado, spot the difference between these two images:
Found it? Don’t get distracted by the small differences like the color of the frame, the shifters or the number spokes on the front weel. Focus on the important difference. Got it now? Ok then. The difference between the two is: The left one is the bike I have been riding, and the right one is the bike I’m riding from now on.
Paid one of the few small fortunes I have at disposition for it, but definitely one of the best investments I ever made (next to my iBook). I’m a very very happy pedaleur right now, even if the weather is lousy (and I need to clean the bike now). One disappointment though: I still have to pedal myself. But I guess you can’t have everything, can you?
