Installation
Timesheet is very easy to install. Just drop the contents of the distribution into a directory of your choice. On Windows, start timesheet by double-clicking timesheet.jar, on OS X double-click on the application icon.
On GNU/Linux or other UNIX operating systems, things are a bit more complicated because there is no unified way to start applications from a desktop environment or window manager. You can start timesheet by calling java -jar Timesheet.jar on the command line, or create a desktop shortcut or shellscript that does that. Please refer to the documentation of your desktop/window manager for instructions on how to do this.
Important! You need a modestly modern Java Runtime Environment (Version 1.4 or above) installed on your computer if you want to run Timesheet. If you are unsure if you have such a JRE installed, please visit Sun’s website http://www.java.com for more information. This website automatically checks if you have a JRE installed and offers downloads for your Operating System if you haven’t.
