I've been using this a week and I'm hooked. I am running suse 10.X on a t60p and I do consulting work. As I mentioned in an earlier post, I recently moved to an all Linux environment so I had to give up the very decent app I was using. Because tracking my time is important to what I do I put a considerable amount of time in looking for a simple, usable, application for recording my time and short summaries of my work daily work. I've installed and tried just about every thing offered on sourceforge and looked into the available commercial software as well. Your app is the best by far. It found the sweet spot between simplicity and flexibility. The only feature request I have is for hierarchical projects, but I've so far easily worked around that.

Great piece of software so far. Today i found a problem: imported .ics made by Apple iCal works fine, but day-events with no special duration are calculated with 24 hours instead of zero. May be some customer will complain ...

I have been looking for a simple timesheet application that lets me keep a log of what I'm working on. I'm in an all Linux environment now, so the commercial product I was using on Windows is out. I have spent time evaluating a dozen time sheet programs. Even the venerable gnotime was horrible. Yours looks like the most hopeful yet. Fingers crossed.

This definitely shouldn't happen on a G5 unless your machine doesn't have enough memory (generally) needs to swap to disk.

(I suggest we move this to the <a href="http://home.subnet.at/peter/forum/timesheet-help/" rel="nofollow">forum</a>.)

I use it on an one-processor 1.8 GHz G5. During the day I have typically 10 applications open. Most of them do not load the processor, unless I actively use them.

Hi Jouko,

What hardware are you using? I noticed that my iBook G4 600 had sometimes difficulties (slow response time, beachball showing and the like) when Timesheet and a lot of other applications where running.

I use Timesheet and OS 10.4.9. The application works but it take a huge share of time, load is 5...10%. It seems to slow down other applications as well. Also, when I change the project the wheel sometimes appears for a while. Is this normal or is there something I could do?

Finally I have a feature request! A time limit or time goal (Soll-Zeit auf Deutsch) for jobs. Before I start working I always know, how much time I have. So I would like to have an additional column, where I can see, how much time is left to fulfill that task.

Luke,

this typically happens when Timesheet doesn't understand the time information you are entering. Please make sure that the format you use matches that of your locale.

This program seems really buggy on my Mac Pro. It wont let me change the times after they have been set. I type in a new time and hit enter and it goes back to the original time.
